Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid's mother is Chinese and was raised in Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn hails from the American South. Olivia's parents divorced when she was two years old, and she was raised by her father and stepfather who was who was a part of the United States Air Force. While the family lived all over, her main residence was Tokyo, Japan. It was where she appeared in stage productions in this time and became a fashion models for the Japanese business. As the family retreated to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her aspirations of becoming a professional actress. Through a string of small parts, Olivia landed a role after she was cast in the role of Mily Acua in the Hawaii filmed TV series Beyond the Break 2006 and the role of receptionist for Rob Schneider. She hosts podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" along with "The Daily Nut". It is her favorite pastime as she has practiced since her TV show Beyond the Break (2006). The black belt she holds is taekwondo. When she was two, her mother got married. This time she married a US Air Force serviceman.
