Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28, 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American actress, singer, and voice-actor. Ariel Winter made her debut acting as a performer at a young age when she appeared in a Cool Whip advertisement when she was just 6 years old. In a CBS episode called Listen Up! program, Ariel landed her debut television role at just 7 years old. Then she followed it up with appearances on shows such as Monk Bones and ER. In 2007 was cast in the role of Gretchen in the Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. Her breakout performance in live-action came the following year as Alex Dunphy of the hit television show Modern Family. Along with her fellow cast members, she won four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Ensemble Performance in an Comedy Series. Ariel continues to do voice-over for films like ParaNorman Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, as well as Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel has a purple belt in Taekwondo.
