Ali MacGraw
Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and activist for animal rights. Her work has received acclaim by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). The desire to become an artist was inspired by her family background in a New York family of artists. After working as a photographer's assistant She turned her focus to modeling and acting. Her first two movies got noticed and earned her recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international hit, earning her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, MacGraw was named the top female debut at the box office worldwide. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were made in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. The actress has appeared in a variety of other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
